Entries are now open for the industry famous Heating Installer Awards, which has returned for a sixth year as the competition once again searches for the best plumbing and heating installers in the UK. For those working in the industry, this year has been challenging to say the least, with many of you continuing to provide vital services throughout lockdown. It’s true when people say that ‘not all superheroes wear capes’ so it’s more important than ever to take time to celebrate your hard work and dedication over the past 12 months, and champion the heroes of the industry who often go unnoticed.
The awards recognise installers who go to great lengths to deliver incredible levels of service and the highest quality installations for their customers. Supported by Danfoss, LG, Polypipe, CIHPE and Installer, the awards are completely free to enter and give installers the chance to showcase their work to potential customers. There is a prize bundle worth over £10,000 on offer for the finalists, including a trip to Denmark for the national winner, and what’s more, the first 20 installers to enter will bag themselves an early bird prize bundle courtesy of Polypipe!
This year, the awards will once again recognise nine regional winners, who will then all have the chance to go on to be crowned the National Heating Installer Awards winner 2021, as well as two special category winners:
- Rising Star– especially for the industry’s budding apprentices – and;
- Most Sustainable Installer– to recognise those who are doing everything they can to minimise the impact of their work on the environment
After entries close in February, an expert judging panel made up of industry professionals and installers will choose nine regional finalists as well as an initial shortlist for the two categories. The overall winners will then be decided by a combination of judges’ scores, peer reviewed technical challenges and a public vote, with the two category winners plus the national winner and runner up announced in May.
