The Apprentice of the Month competition was launched in 2017 as a way of recognising apprentices who go above and beyond in their qualification.
It is a monthly-rolling competition that exists mainly on social media, making it accessible to young tradespeople. As well as the competition, Apprentice of the Month also serves to inform, educate and upskill young people via industry news, product insight and career advice.
Welcoming entries from every region across the UK, plumbing and heating apprentices should submit an entry via our application form, which asks a series of questions. With each application, entrants should also submit a video (minimum 1minute long) explaining why they deserve to the next Apprentice of the Month.
Entry will run the course of a month, with voting for the shortlist taking place the following month. When each stage of voting goes live, so does the next phase of entries.
For example: During September we will accept entries for the October Apprentice of the Month, which will be shortlisted at the end of the month. Voting for the October Apprentice of the Month will go live at the start of October, at which point, entries for the November Apprentice of the Month will open.
Representatives from our sponsors – Sentinel, Vaillant and Wolseley, Installer Magazine and Installers First – will pick the shortlist each month.
