Out of over 130,000 heating installers in the UK, Adam Dare from Berkshire has been named as one of the UK’s leading heating professionals after receiving the runner’s up ‘Highly Commended’ award at the Heating Installer Awards 2026.
Adam, founder of Eco Renewables Ltd, earned national recognition after impressing judges with his technical expertise, innovative approach to heat pump design and commitment to delivering high-performance renewable heating systems for homeowners.
Having already been crowned the best heating installer in the South East earlier this year, Adam went on to compete against regional winners from across the UK. Following a rigorous judging process, technical challenge and public vote, he was awarded Highly Commended status by the judges in recognition of the exceptional quality of his work.
Adam’s award-winning entry showcased the complete heating system redesign of a five-bedroom detached property that was not originally suited to low-temperature heating. The complex retrofit project involved replacing a traditional fossil fuel heating system with an advanced air source heat pump solution. Judges praised his attention to detail, innovative thinking and ability to deliver a renewable heating solution that performed beyond customer expectations.
Adam says: “It’s been a huge 24 hours for me! This is the first year that I’ve entered these awards so to have finished in second place out of all the entries is just incredible. I’m so proud of the work I do; winning the title of best in the south east was fantastic, so to now have gone a step further is really remarkable.”

Adam received his award at InstallerSHOW 2026 at the NEC Birmingham in June, where leading manufacturers, installers and industry professionals gathered to celebrate innovation and excellence across the building services sector. Alongside the recognition, he also received prizes from the awards’ sponsors including Danfoss, Powered Now, Samsung Climate Solutions, Stelrad, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, InstallerSHOW and Refresh.
