As Stelrad Radiators celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, the company is continuing its long-standing commitment to keeping people warm, both now and for generations to come. As part of this milestone, Stelrad has extended its support to colleges of further education running heating and plumbing courses and apprenticeships, donating a number of its Compact radiators for students to use in their practical training.

Based in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, Tameside College is a further education college that provides the next steps from school to university and employment. It also offers a range of apprenticeships as well as adult and university level courses.
It aims to support the individual aspirations of each learner by providing first class learning environments and resources. It is rated Ofsted good and has invested significantly in its campus, to develop state-of-the-art facilities for its students. As with many other colleges up and down the country it has sought the support of major manufacturers of relevant equipment to ask for help with equipment that can be used day-to-day in training courses to help students and apprentices as they learn the practical skills they need to pass their courses and look forward to starting full time jobs in the heating and plumbing sector in the UK.

“We’re delighted to have been able to contribute in a small way to the equipment needs of the students at Tameside College,” says Stelrad’s Rebecca Mulholland. “It’s good to see the young students at the College learning how to install radiators using our radiators and we hope they will be useful components of the training courses at the college in the years ahead,”
