The Heating Installer Awards are back and we’re celebrating our eighth year! That’s right – we are once again searching for the best installers from across the country. Entries are now officially open and there are more chances to win than ever before.
Here at HIA HQ we endeavor to bring recognition to the heating industry and installers who often go unnoticed despite their hard work. We look for installers with a dedication to excellent customer service and expert installations no matter how complex. We aim to provide a unique opportunity for heating installers in the UK to showcase their impressive work, join a close-knit community, and network with influential businesses as well as other installers.
This Year’s Categories
This year, the awards are bigger and better than ever before with even more chances to win. As we all move to more sustainable methods of heating, now two winners will be awarded for their commitment to more sustainable practices with one winner being crowned the most sustainable installer in the north, and one being crown the most sustainable installer in the south.
The awards will also continue to recognise the industry’s apprentices, and those still in training, with the Rising Star award which celebrates the next generation of Heating Installers and commends them for their hard work and commitment to the trade.
Lastly, but by know means least there will be our regional winners from across our 12 areas. These winners will then go onto battle it out to be crowned Heating Installer of the Year 2023!
The Awards Process
Entries are now open and will close in February. After they are closed, an expert judging panel made up of industry experts, professional bodies, and installers will choose the regional finalists as well as an initial shortlist for the three category winners – Sustainability – North, Sustainability – South and Rising Star.
The awards will once again search for the best installers in each region of the UK, with regional winners being crowned in April, before heading to an exclusive regional winner’s event to celebrate their achievements. The winner from each region will then go on to do a technical challenge set by the previous national winner and moderated by award’s partner, CIPHE, in a bid to be crowned the National Heating Installer of 2023.
The overall winners will then be decided by a combination of judges’ scores, peer reviewed technical challenges and a public vote, with the three category winners plus the national winner and runner up announced in June at the NEC.
The awards this year are kindly sponsored by , making the awards completely free to enter. There is a prize bundle worth over £10,000 on offer for the finalists, including a vast array of product from sponsors and partners as well as money-can’t-buy prizes such as a trip to Danfoss HQ in Denmark.
